TimPD strikes again... EquityHost [Archive]

Be careful, this "business" is connected to or owned by TimPD. He was contracting us to develop software for him and refused to provide a full name or corporate name -- also refused to provide any deposit at all. The address he provided was the same in his WHOIS, a datacenter address.

I asked him to please provide a legal name so that we can update our records and he gave us "EquityHost Admin". When he e-mailed me the requirements for the project, the ADSL was adsl-80-118-80.owb.bellsouth.net - OWB is Owensboro, Kentucky - near TimPD's location.

He IM'd my partner accidently using a Paradise Designs support s/n. Then immediately signed off, and signed on again using s/n "EquityHst" claiming he has no idea who TimPD is.

The IP for home.equityhost.com is only digits away from www.mbthemes.com which is also owned by TimPD.

This is definitely TimPD. Watch out.

"EquityHst" told me that "PDSupports" contact info only appears on their site when "PDSupports" is online and that he does not understand how to people could be online at once. How would he know about their site? I thought he doesn't know who this Tim character is. :cartman:

I wonder if the courts will approve of a lawsuit from a person named "EquityHost Admin" who works at an unincorporated "EquityHost" in an unknown state with no street address. :stickout:

When I asked him about his real name earlier (before I told him I knew who he was), he told me it was too personal for him and that even his dedicated server company does not know. He says that asking him for his name is like asking someone how many times they've had sex with their wife. :D

Colo4Atlanta may be and probably is owned or connected to TimPD too. Note Colo4Atlanta's address simply points to 56 Marietta, which is a carrier hotel. There's no floor #, no suite #. Also, someone had e-mailed Colo4Atlanta before, and they claimed they'd incorporate soon. Many of Tim's operations were like this.

Colo4Atlanta probably does not own any real space, just a neutral name for Tim to use for all of his operations - likely reselling servers of a datacenter that uses 56 Marietta.

This is just what I think, seeing as how his servers are owned by him and using the name Colo4Atlanta - and the fact Colo4Atlanta has no good contact information and a site that doesn't sell anything. (Copies of http://www.56marietta.net/)

If I came to this forum, saying something like "We were coding a new helpdesk software for XYZFOOHost and they did not pay us." then it would be reasonable for that business or anyone else to be unhappy.

They do not even have a legitimate company, business location, or legal representative name. "EquityHost, Inc." is not registered as a corporation even though they are using this on their site.

There was no signed contract, no copyright violation. And, let's look up defamation:

defamation \Def`a*ma"tion\, n. [OE. diffamacioun, F. diffamation. See Defame.] Act of injuring another's reputation by any slanderous communication, written or oral; the wrong of maliciously injuring the good name of another; slander; detraction; calumny; aspersion.

I'm sorry if you think we injured their reputation by making people aware of the company's owner. TimPD definitely has a good name. :rolleyes:
