Hi
Ok, the way I see it, there are three steps to processing a client's hosting account order...
(1) They fill out an online form and provide their name, domain, address, phone number and other personal info.
(2) The customer is then automatically redirected to a payment form and the personal info shows up in your email.
(3) Using this info, you set their account up and send them a canned email with all the info they'll need
The only thing is, I use PayPal and thier forms are pretty much limited to purchasing with no options for all the other info I would need to collect. Secondly, I see no way to have clients fill out a personal info form and then automatically redirect them to the PayPal form. PayPal just does'nt work that way and Since I've been with them for many years without a single problem, I'm not really ready to switch over to another payment processing service. Sure, I could have the customer click on a link and fill out one form and then have them go to the PayPal form (manually) but this would be an awkward and clumsey way of doing it.
I'm also a bit confused about where I actually locate all the account info I'll need to provide them with at signup (ie; their IP, etc) but I'm assuming I just provide them with my primary name server address(?).
Anyway, I finally went with HTTPme and am very satisfied with what I see so far. I hope noone who I did'nt choose is offended by the fact that I did'nt choose them. It's a jungle out there and I just needed to decide who/what best suited my personal needs. A lot of other hosts had great plans too but HTTPme seems to be a pretty well recognized reseller and...well...the rest is history as they say:). Anyway thank's to all of you for the great help!
-Cheers
