Vortech 04-26-2001, 10:25 PM Well i would love to see a control panel like CP that is sold and not month to month. But i would also like to see a Control Panel that can run on the 3 main used OS's RedHat, FreeBSD anf Windows NT/2000 and have them all look the same and work with software that will work on all the platforms. I think a setup like this would sell great. Using things like urchin.com for stats that will work on all OS's this way all your systems can look the same NT or Redhat or what every. But supporting 3 OS's would be a lot of works but i think it could be done. I think this would make it easy for a lot fo host and make the learing curve down for end user. So if they are on NT and change to Redhat there is a small learning curve ont he control panels and would work great. Just my 2 cents...:) HostScripts 04-27-2001, 03:21 PM Seems like yall want a new control panel...We might just give it to you... :) HostScripts 04-30-2001, 10:43 PM What are you willing to pay for a new control panel??? Vortech 04-30-2001, 10:57 PM I would have to say it depends on how nice it looks and what all is in it.. If its looks as nice as CP but work better and have as much as CP does and Flat fee over there monthly i would say 750 to 1000 would be about right for it. But less is all ways good. :) Also if it can work with redhat, freebsd and have some kind of plans for a Windows ver. would be great. Thats one thing i don't like right now about all CP's is they are ether just Redhat or FreeBSD no one has did a good windows control panel yet. So it thing one good controll panel thatc an work on all the big OS's would be great. P.S i knoe FreeBSD and Rehat are great but some users still like NT / 2000 as well. So a good controll pain for them would be ver. nice as well as there is only onenow and it sucks and one ther one on the way that cost way to much.. :) HostScripts 04-30-2001, 11:03 PM $750-$1000 per server, or for unlimited servers? Vortech 04-30-2001, 11:15 PM Well if you want to do it for unlimited servers you will not here any thign bad from me..LOL I was saying per server... Buy unlimited servers is cool.. I would say the price on your first release should be less as there will be some bugs at first. So i would say first release $350 to $600 free minner upgrades from 1.0 to 2.0 then every thing above the 2.0 to 3.0 is anther charge. You could also bring the price back up then as it should be very stable at this point and time. |
