Hi,
We have been using HostCharge processing system since September until the middle of November. Initially, they were fine and funds were being wired to our accounts in a timely manner.
But just recently, things started to go downhill. Firstly, the wiring started to fall behind. We are still waiting for our wires from October and if you read the posts in their forums, our company is not alone. Since their processing bank was located in Europe, our customers were charged twice and sometimes three times for the same amount. Other times, they were charged incorrectly by a dollar or so. But the final straw was when the chargebacks were coming in. I understand in any online business there is bound to be chargebacks. In this case, there were incidents of multiple chargebacks for the same transaction number (sometimes up to fives times). So if we charged our customer $100 and it was chargebacked, it should be $100 + the chargeback fee ($5). But, this particular transaction was debited five times for a total of $500 + $25. This happened on other chargebacks too. I emailed all their contact info about it but I have yet to hear any reply. And if you read their forums, it has happened to other companies.
We stopped processing in November and I guess they knew that so instead of wiring us the funds, they delayed it and then added multiple chargebacks and fees that did not make sense.
So, if you are considering using them, beware, and check out their forums at forums.hostcharge.com before deciding.
