Although this is posted at the bottom of the newly updated IMPORTANT sticky in Related Offers & Request, some don't read these notices. In an effort to educate more members so that they know and can answer questions (if asked), I'm posting it here as well.
The change:
Attachments for the Related Offers & Request forum have been turned off. You are still welcome to sell your templates, post your logos, etc., however you must now link to your portfolio or template for sale, from your own site.
The main reason for this change is to prevent members with blocked URLs from posting their templates and other services as attachments, which makes it harder for us to stop it. There is an amazing correlation between blocked URLs and scammers, so this is one way we are trying to thwart scammers from ripping off members.
As with anything though, this isn't fool proof. Get recommendations from others. Do your homework. Ask. Discuss. Search. We do what we can, but ultimately, you are the best protection against fraud.
Hopefully this won't cause too much of a disturbance, and as was said before, you are welcome to link anything that was previously attached. If you need web space to do so, post a request! (http://www.webhostingtalk.com/forumdisplay.php?s=&forumid=32) :D
