Good call?

Hardly.

I was making a subtle reference to the fact that you called this guy a friend, but don't like him. And you were quick to say this guy isn't a problem.

So, if the guy isn't a problem, and you don't want to be his friend, why not just tell him that? Keep his business. Of course, that's if he's not a problem.

If he's not a problem, why make him leave? He might be smart enough to seperate the business from the personal side of this arrangement, and stay with your (presumably) good hosting, even if you don't want to be his friend. Why would you want to shove off business like that? I mean, he's not a problem or anything, right?

If you don't want him as a friend, tell him that. If he wants to leave, let him leave and pick his own host, rather than possibly shoving him off onto a bad host. I'm sure he'll find a good host on his own. I mean, he's not a problem or anything...

I smelled something fishy, and I was subtly hinting to it. But if that makes it offtopic, there. Now it's on topic.

nothing is fishy i just dont awnt to host this guy.Of course before i sell him i will ask him, if he says no then i wont. And i will look at the host i sign him up with to make sure its not a "bad" host

Really I don't think anyone is going to buy him it's just one person and If he likes you or whatever and wants to be your friend. Then you shove him off. He won't want to stay with you anyways and more then likely won't stay with the host you shoved him off to either. Im sure he will go find one on his own....... Theres no way of telling what hes going to do unless you've already asked him?

no, once i friend the right people i am going to introduce him to the idea...
Of course kinks can still be worked out :)

This is not set in stone its a trial procedure

Um, just a note here: it isn't a good idea to link directly to the site. When he reads his stats, he will follow the refferal link back here and see what is going on. Instead, just spell the domain without adding the http stuff so that people will have to copy and paste it in a new browser window. :D

insaneraptor

he wont read stats, he isnt smart enough ;)

Actually my bid is -$40.00, which means I will take him if you pay me 40.00 to take him. I am not offering 40.00.

If I were you, I'd take the $25 before 'someone else' gets cold feet (or realizes it's not worth it). Tell them to paypal you now.

25 bucks for someone that pays 5$/month ??? WOW ... Who will guarantee he will stay 5 months and thereby make sure you dont loose money on this (not mentioning the bandwidth)

I am willing to pay 100$ for him if he signs a life contract AND insures himself (life insurance) in MY favor! :)

LOL! That's why I thought this was fishy... there's something that just doesn't smell right about what this young man's trying to accomplish.

Maybe it's the next coming of the famous nigerian scam, called "Friend pimping"... sell your friend to a host for some amount, your friend stays for a week, then leaves, you both profit, come back as another name, do it again... Announce what your willing to "lose" ("friend only pays $5 a month") and leave yourself an escape route ("will discuss with friend *after* I find him a suitable host, if he doesn't like the idea, then he can stay with me")...

Just stinks...

Disclaimer: I have no idea if this person is actually trying to defraud anyone, and am not trying to make an accusation. Just reading into and reporting what I see. As always, buyer beware. :) This person might have a legitimate reason for the manner in which he is selling his friend, which he may or may not disclose here...
