Hey folks, any good suggestions for inexpensive SIP phones? I've found one good deal, but it's an h.323 phone and the codecs it uses are apparently poorly supported in * as well. :(

I'm looking for something in the $15 - $30 range preferably. Ethernet connectivity, non-POE, and codecs that work well with *.

Thanks!

The Polycom SoundPoint IP 300 phones are fairly nice and you can find them on eBay for about $20-40. They do POE but come with a POE injector, but you can also plug them into direct DC power.

We use them in our offices, and have had a pretty good track record with them thus far. You will however, want to make sure they are appropriately firewalled or you will get weird calls from script kiddies trying to root asterisk servers.

I would always reccomend the Grandstream line of phones. They are very easy to configure, and IMO, they are the most "business looking" phones out there.

I don't think you can get them new within your budget, however you can get them from ebay are pretty good prices.

Cheers
