I had a customer come to me last night in need of a dedicated server.. Sadly I cannot fill a request like that instantly since I do not stock inventory long enough.. However I wanted to help him out since this was urgent.

After explaining some of his immediate choices, he said a VPS would serve him well.. so the hunt began.

I went around WHT looking for everyone who provided VPS's.. I tried to call them all, AIM them.. what have you.. no responses.. I finally found yourhostdirect and gave him a call.. He is in the same state as I am.. it was approx 12:30 am.. he picked up and was able to help me get this guy on his own vps right away.

What are the specs of the server these are on (CPU, memory) and how many VPS per server?

The Economy looks interesting, but for the price of the advanced or enterprise, you could have a full server. What would be the advantage of getting a virtual private server instead?

The specs on the host server is PIII 1.0gig 1gig Ram.

each host only runs 4 vps's

I guess the advantages are you get root access on a server with high bandwidth transfer for a cheaper rate than dedicated servers.

What kind of management do you throw in?

if you are refering to vps management we will install/support numerous applications which are listed on the site. For control panel type managment we usually use webmin.

Other control panels like cpanel and such will work but we dont provide licences (yet)
