Who?
We are looking for an established hosting company (preferably one with an existing cloud computing service and if you offer an existing CDN service, this could be a great asset for it as well) to partner with in the creation of an on-demand media transcoding service.

Why?
Videos are becoming increasingly popular on the internet. However, many sites struggle with automating the process of encoding videos to be viewable on the web (HTML5) or through Flash. It requires high CPU use for timely encoding, but as a lot of sites do not have all that many videos to encode, acquiring the hardware and setting up the software to perform this is often inefficient and more costly than outsourcing the encoding to 3rd party websites.

So why a new transcoding service?
There are many similar services available, but the pricing of these services aren't very competitive. With efficient processes and steady client-stream, the profit margins could easily be raised several hundred percent on top of most competitive cloud computing services prices.

We have several years of experience in video transcoding and developing video related websites. I won't post statistics of our data here or specifics of the exact format of the business, but we could take care of all the technical aspects of the project.
