Thats what it does, you set the ip and the port ServerCorps 12-17-2002, 11:44 AM if you are asking if MRTG can monitor a router's ip, of course. It can monitor any MIB that exists a far as I know, but only becomes useful with MIBS that return numbers (counters). That's what it was written for. If you are asking if it can be installed on a router, that would depend on the router. It has to support perl, cgi, the gtk(png?) libs, etc. Basically a linux router could, but hardware routers (cisco, etc.), probably not. James[UH] 12-17-2002, 11:53 AM If your router supports snmp you can query it with MRTG. - But query too many IPs on it, will load the router too much. matt_01 12-17-2002, 11:56 AM I have a Zyxel router.. Im not really sure if that does suport perl, cgi and stuff like that... But I have a red hat server on that network with MRTG installed.. What files do i need to edit ? how easy how hard ?
