is it posible to have MRTG setup on the router Ip ?
If yes, How ? ;-)

what do you mean the router ip? Thats what it does, you set the ip and the port

if you are asking if MRTG can monitor a router's ip, of course. It can monitor any MIB that exists a far as I know, but only becomes useful with MIBS that return numbers (counters). That's what it was written for.

If you are asking if it can be installed on a router, that would depend on the router. It has to support perl, cgi, the gtk(png?) libs, etc. Basically a linux router could, but hardware routers (cisco, etc.), probably not.

If your router supports snmp you can query it with MRTG. - But query too many IPs on it, will load the router too much.

I have a Zyxel router.. Im not really sure if that does suport perl, cgi and stuff like that...

But I have a red hat server on that network with MRTG installed..
What files do i need to edit ? how easy how hard ?
