My website is on a Unix Host, currently using UBB, hoping to switch to vBulletin soon.

I'm shopping around for a new host at the moment but I can't decide wheter to go NT this time or not.

Can anyone explain to me whats the difference between both?

Thanks,
low

*putting on flame-proof suit*

*nix is generally considered to be more secure and stable.

Generally, the recommendation is that you use some flavor of unix unless you absolutely must have a feature of NT/Win2K for native compatiblity. If you must use pure, MS ASP, or must have native ODBC support, use NT/Win2K. Otherwise, if you can do what you need to do in *nix, use it. If you're moving to vB and that's really the only consideration you need to make, go *nix.

The difference is like night and day... GO UNIX / LINUX
or you will most likely pay more, and get discusted.

Simply put:
Bill Gates hasn't finished windows '95 , what makes you think their servers are any better ??
