Has anyone been having problems accessing domains that they have forwarded and masked through Go Daddy? The domain does not forward and instead brings up a page that says it is "Coming Soon". It was working fine for a couple weeks up until today.
Their website says they are having some domain name website problems (if you click on My Account), but I don't know if this is related to the problem above.
Is this problem a common occurrence with Go Daddy? How are they in terms of reliability, uptime, etc.?
Any info would be appreciated.
Thanks,
lutra

I will never dare to buy a domain from godaddy. Do you know why? There will be more than 5 times our of them that I am not able to access their website. This funny phenomenon has occur for years, I am just guessing that there are problems with their own DNS server setting so that some part of the world can not resolve to their web site and end up with page not found in my case. Hope my experience help you!

James Yap,
Where you from?
Godaddy seems to be the only registrar doing this kind of crappy stuff. I think that they should not be blocking IPs of other countries..
I learned from their site that they have blocked certain countries that USA believes to be sponsoring international terrorism or something [ thats political but then its up to them to decide whats better for them...BUT why should the common ppl suffer? ]
I believe they have blocked most of the countries located in Asia.

I'm not having problems getting to their website. But I am having problems accessing a domain, registered with them, that is supposed to be forwarded and masked by them.
The strange thing is that domains that are forwarded but NOT masked are working, but ones that ARE masked are not working.
Is anyone else experiencing this problem?

No matter what but they definately seemed to have blocked the major countries of the Middle East and Asia.

GoDaddy sucks. I was on my way to the courthouse to file a lawsuit in small claims against those morons when my admin called and told me that we were finally back into our account.
I wouldn't recommend them to my worst enemy.
Haven't had a problem with Dotster. Yet. Better not speak too soon though...

Chicken Wing, I think what you say is right, I am from Malaysia (South East Asia) and US listed us as one of the 'terrorist' country! But I can't blame US on this as US is famous for their military forces but 911... But I can assure you that my country are safe and I can surt internet with my new broadband everyday and watch die another day in the cinema. :) Plus Replying this message.
I recommend the cheapest domain registrar names4ever.com. Godaddy isn't the best anyway. And they are stupid.

The only country that I am aware of that GoDaddy at some point blocked, was Pakistan.
The current downtime seems to be unrelated, but I would not be certain 100%.
