There should be a section specifically for the Virtual servers. It's a little confusing right now. I don’t know if I should go to dedicated or shared for topics on virtual servers. I end up going to both.

Chicken 12-16-2002, 11:09 PM Well, in some ways they are both, so there isn't really a particular forum which would be more suitable. poeple have asked me where they should place their ads for VPS and I basically tell them to place it in the forum they feel will yield results. If someone is looking through the dedicated forum, do you think they would be interested in a VPS (and a similar question can be asked about people looking ion Shared Offers). I don't know the answer to that one. Alex[nl] 12-17-2002, 06:31 PM Hence the possibility to add a special forum for them, so the question does not need an answer anymore ;) modoc 12-17-2002, 06:33 PM Originally posted by Alex[nl] Hence the possibility to add a special forum for them, so the question does not need an answer anymore ;) My thoughts exactly. Chicken 12-17-2002, 11:13 PM Can I ask what this is in regards to (meaning top forums or ad forums)? modoc 12-17-2002, 11:54 PM Originally posted by Chicken Can I ask what this is in regards to (meaning top forums or ad forums)? Under the "Main" section. Have a forum just for V*S's. The kind of virtual hosting that allows root access (not quite dedicated, but close). Perhaps, a section for V*S's companies to show their products under "advertising". Chicken 12-18-2002, 01:03 AM Ok, well although it has come up before, I don't see a huge need ("need" as in, enough posts to warrant) for two additional forums. ScottD 12-18-2002, 01:08 AM Just a thought, but why not just add a note in the dedicated forum descriptions? I would classify it closer to dedicated since the environment more closely resembles that of a dedicated server than a shared hosting account. |
