The story is ....
I get an order for a large reseller plan and do my normal fraud screen find the IP is in Israel the address on the credit card is New Mexico, so I have already thrown red flags around it and am talking to MC authoristion center when my live chat goes off. Guess who is on the other end?

So anyone that gets an order from Rafael in New Mexico check it twice, I called the owner of the card it was stolen and cancelled yesterday.

Read from bottom up..

62.219.165.120: OK! Thanks! Bye! I will fix this problem! :)
Monte: No the email states we have your order and we just took your number, we process all new transactions by hand and your credit card has been declined you need to contact your bank.
62.219.165.120: But i have recieved e-mail saying that i have paid succsessfully, i can give you the transaction number if you want!? I don't know what to do!
Monte: OK once you get it fixed let me know and we can set your account up right away.
62.219.165.120: I'm sorry, i will have to fix this problem!
Monte: I do not know Master Card has declined the charge. Billing is talking to them now.
62.219.165.120: Why? Is it something wrong there??
Monte: OK well your credit card was declined.
62.219.165.120: It's ok, because i'm in Israel, my parent live here, and i came to visit them!
Monte: OK are you at home now? Biling has to call to verify the order before we can set your account up. But I am a bit confused your IP is from Israel
62.219.165.120: Yes i'm Rafael!
62.219.165.120: Oh, thanks! I realy need this because some hosting companies doesn't have it! Thank you very much! It was nice to talk to you!!! :)
Monte: are you you Rafael?
Monte: Yes we have GD 2.0 and Imagemagick both
62.219.165.120: And the last question! This is very important for me! Do you have GD library installed on your php server? I just want to post my photoshop art gallery in thumbnails!
Monte: Then you can address it as www.domain.com
Monte: Yes either one www.domain.com/~username is normally what you use for tempoary access to an account until it's domain is resolved on the DNS servers.
62.219.165.120: And can you tell me please! I have bought hosting from another hosting company! But there i was able only to create domains like www.domain.com/~username and i didn't like it, can i create subdomain like username.domain.com???
62.219.165.120: Aha! OK! Thanks!
Monte: Reseller hosting is where you can create accounts and resell space and bandwidth to others. Regular hosting is where you host only one or 2 domains that belong to you.
62.219.165.120: I have bought reseller hosting! Can you tell me please the difference between reseller hosting and regular hosting!
Monte: Hello, how may I help you today?

I figured that I would occasionally get a carder here and there so I elected to process all my orders by hand.

I use Cpanel with WHM. I set a bandwidth valve in the beginning so the customer can't simply upload a few binaries and post to a bunch of boards for people to start downloading. The next thing I am Working on is an email valve that will not allow over 50 emails to be mailed in one quick shot. Very similar to what Hypermart uses to control someone from using their services to mass email a 100k list with some small script in php or perl.

I am using sendmail and I am not bad at configuring sendmail for my purposes, but if anyone can save me some time with modifying sendmail so that I will be able to accomplish this task easily, I would be greatful.

I would like to have a system that allows me to limit the amount of outgoing email in a new account with the added feature of being able to modify that setting at any time for any given account. Or at least turn it on or off. WHM does not account for this and therefore I figure that I must modify SendMail in some way to accomodate this.

I have had conversations like the one above with potential customers and when I get that funny feeling about them, basically, I blow them off. Make it tougher for them to get my service, make them do phone verification, etc....

Thanks in Advance,

Robert
