I've had a few threads in past regarding Carpal Tunnel Syndrome and I have finally found a solution to help cope with the pain so I thought I'd share it with you all :)

My mother has been dealing with arthiritis in her fingers for the past few years and she is an avid listener of Dr. Dean Edell and apparently on his website he has a little recipe to reduce the inflammation of arthiritis. The recipe consists of golden raisins marrinated in gin. She tried it and it has been helping her for about two years now.

After she told me about the recipe I decided I might try it for myself as I thought that it could help in reducing the inflammation of my carpal tunnel syndrome and indeed it has!

I think it's definitely worth trying as it costs very little to make. You can buy any golden raisins and the cheapest Gin (works all the same). Just pour a good amount of Gin over the raisins and let them sit for about one night and then keep them refrigerated.

I do not know if the gin soaked raisins are merely masking the pain or what as I'm not a medicine expert so please use at your own risk :D

Eck! Carpal tunnel, my dad just had his second hand done because of it... He said it hurt worse when he came out of surgery than it did when he went in, mainly because he hadn't felt his fingers for almost a year :D

I had problems (not carpal) with my wrists; my Microsoft split keyboard and a nice wrist pad help a lot.

Damned, too bad the liquor stores are all closed -- I would like to try that and see if it works as preventative medicine :D.

I've heard of that treatment before actually. I went the route of the Microsoft split keyboard and gel pads...and haven't felt a twinge of pain since. I'll leave you to your Gin and raisins. ;)

Do you think you could save money and omit the raisins? :)

Ah, I forgot to add that you only need about one spoonful of raisins/gin per day or so to keep the pain away :)

Personally, I find strawberry daquiris to have remarkable healing powers. I suspect it's because of all the vitamin C in the strawberries.
