Technically they aren't free as you are required to pay $100 to enom to activate them, though you don't lose this money from what I understand its simply to see that you are serious.

It is free you don't have to pay enom a few thousand to first get the account. The $100 is only if you want to buy domains from the account and the money goes all to domains.
