My website, http://www.tickling.com, is
currently hosted by a superb ISP with whom
I enjoy a great rapport and fantastic service. However, I am looking for a
BETTER bandwidth deal than a monthly fee of
$275 for 2.5 gigabytes of space *and*
75 gigabytes of bandwidth per month.
Ideally, I want a flat-rate without any
supplemental "per gig" charges. My site uses
75-100 gigs a month of bandwidth, mostly as
a result of multimedia downloads

Basically, I need less disc space,
more bandwidth, and a better price.

If you have high-speed connectivity and
are able to beat this price considerably...
along with being able to provide other
needed email and ftp services I enjoy,
please contact me.

Note: this is NOT an adult website and has
never been hosted on an adult server!

Please contact me if interested.

I think you might want to read some of the other discussions where the term "unlimited bandwidth" is discussed. Mostly, it's a big lie.

Disk space is far cheaper than bandwidth. It costs almost nothing to allocate more disk space whereas bandwidth charges are incurred and mist be paid by your ISP to their supplier(s). The only real limitation of disk space is its part in how many account can be placed on particular server, though using multiple drives can render that a moot point. The big consideration is how many share a processor.

You obviously have an account where few share the resources of your server, hence the higher charge (along with your bandwidth usage). Even moving to a dedicated server may not reduce your monthly costs and may even increase them.

Dialtone Internet has Cobalt RAQ3 servers starting at $200 monthly, but the extra 25 gb (50 is included and seems fairly standard among hosts) will cost you $75 more ($3 per gb.

If you look long enough, you might find a slightly better price, but at what cost. You've already said you get great service from your present host, which makes you quite fortunate. There are a lot of really bad ones, and the kind of usage you have will bring out the worst in them much faster.

You just might need to be happy with what you've got.

would $255 sway you?

15 gig of space and 100 gig of bandwidth.
