I've just noticd that Chillisoft (Now part of Sun!) has an upgrade for the ASP engine, however searching through there site it shows that this won't be available to RAQers till July (at the earliest!). Does anybody else think this is out of line?

???
I got a letter from them last week saying I could upgrade to 3.6 for free now and I run it on a RAQ 3.
What is the problem?

Weird, did you purchase this as a seprate product, or was it bundled with your RAQ3? Have you also got the chilimail component? And (sorry for all the questions!) did you get this as a RAQ PKG file or just use the linux one?

We purchased it at chilisoft with a very LARGE discount from them.
We registered for a trial so we could download it. After a week we got a mail wich we were offered the product for half that normal price ;-)
Anyways, we used the normal linux file and believe me that even a donkey could install it. Well, if the donkey knows how to handle telnet anyway ;-)

Ah that explains it - I'm using a pre-installed version that came with my RAQ4, we just second rate users!

Not that I am aware of, as I said, it was pre-installed on the RAQ4...

Here is the reply I got for chilisoft...
===While the new 3.6 version of Chili!ASP is available for Linux, we have not yet developed a PKG version. However, in theory, the Linux .tar version should work. Unfortunately, we haven't tested it ourselves on RaQs, but as I said, it should work. You are more than welcome to give it a try; we have already had other users try it, but haven't heard any information yet. We
are finalizing a new version of the Spicepack, but there is no information yet about breaking just the Chili!Mail component out for RaQ customers. I assume that it will be; I just don't know when.===
So yes in theory I can upgrade, but I would lose my e-mail component!
