I might go in 2011, Really depends on how things turn out. I'm waiting on them to bring it to the East Coast so i don't have to travel across the United states to get to it :P

If they can find international sponsors, sure. U.S. exhibitors are not going to want the logistical nightmare of moving gear out of the country. It already costs thousands in freight and drayage to move a 10 x 20 or 20 x 20+ exhibit assuming you're not using low end pop-up displays.

We probably paid a total of about $5000.00 to move out exhibit from Virginia to Texas and back to include freight to two different carriers and drayage fees to George Fern (the show support crew).

Yes, we are Platinum sponsors again and have reserved the same 20 x 20 space right by the front door. iNet warned me that HostDime was trying to poach the space so I had better renew ;)

Whats the estimate cost of freight etc now?

I suppose it depends on the carrier and what you're shipping, off the top of my head:

Pitt Ohio: Norfolk, VA to Maryland (Two pallets, ~800 lbs, for HC 2009): $850.00
Pitt Ohio: Norfolk, VA to Austin, TX (Two crates, ~1200 lbs, for HC 2010): $1200.00
YRC: Austin, TX to Norfolk, VA (same two crates): $2400.00

The show support company George Fern also charges a "drayage" fee for moving the crates from the warehouse to the show floor which is around $500 - 1000 iirc.

Would like to exhibit, wonder if overseas companies are accepted?

Speaking of going international, I believe Europe (UK or Germany) and ASIA (Singapore) would make more sense than Sydney :-)

There are numerous international companies at HostingCon. As long as you're eligible for a visa you can attend, exhibit, or whatever.

Yes but Sydney has won ‘Top Global City’ at the inaugural 2010 International Festivals and Events Association (IFEA) World Festival and Event City Awards.

Sydney is a top global city I have no doubt over that whatsoever. However the Hostingcon is not a cultural event and I guess organizers would be more interested in cities with the largest concentration of hosting providers/potential advertisers....
