We want to inform up to you sad experience of cooperation with "Boksoft" company
(www.boksoft.net www.boksoft.com www.smarthostingtools.com).

In March of month the software urgently was necessary for operation of the server in quality hosting for our company.

All know, that for these purposes exists three popular programs:
plesk (www.plesk.com), ensim (www.ensim.com) and cpanel (www.cpanel.net)

Plesk and Ensim at once have disappeared as they have not liked us.

Cpanel appeared very dear(expensive).
And to buy cpanel it is not possible, as officially nobody sells this program.

And here it is random from conference www.webhostingtalk.com we have seen advertising Smart Hosting Controller program by made certain Boksoft corporation.

Came to them on a site (www.smarthostingtools.com), have looked cost of the program and its(her) possibility.

The interface of the program and functionality have made on us a good impression.


Also for them on a site it was written, that in April there will be a free-of-charge upgrade in which possibilities mail lists and others will be added.

Having consulted with our heads we have decided to buy this program.

One person Arnoud Boksteijn corresponded with us always.


We have written, that to us the software similar is urgently necessary for yours and we have stopped on you and would like to gain it(him) as soon as possible.

To speed up the process of purchase we have paid the program through the system of instant payments Westen Union. ($750)

In day to us send the link to archive with the program.


We shall remark at once, that the instruction on operation with the program consist of 2-3 sheets.


All of us have fulfilled under the instruction which they have sent us and at last the program was placed(installed) on the server.

First of all we have wanted to check up the program and have made for the test hosting one domain.

The program has created hosting for www.artrek.ru address and that we see:

90 % of that that was indicated for them on a site, the program DOES NOT DO(MAKE)!.

We have written to them, that for us practically nothing works.

They write to us, that all works for them and that too all works for their other clients, and ostensibly it we not correctly installing program.

We were in a shock as in our company 3 certificated programmers work and they simply not could installing the program with errors.

Choice was not.

We spend a pair of hundreds dollars that to us there came programmers from another the companies and have put a software.

They install the program and thus were detected all same errors.

And we have again written to them, that the program yours does not work and it is not necessary to tell lies that ostensibly she(it) works for other your clients.

We have still asked that they have sent the list of their clients which use their program.

They of nothing have sent us, having ignored our request.


After that we have asked the programmers to view the initial code of the program and scripts to learn(find out) a real reason why the program does not work.

Programmers having viewed the initial code, have seen set of the unfinished scripts because of which anything and does not work. For an example:

In the admin-panel there was no button " to delete the user ".

That is create õîñòèíã we can but to delete it(him) in any way it is impossible.

Or Have created hosting. Hostingã really exists. We try to go on ftp to begin to rock files on the server, and us does not start up.

Then in the new version of the program of us nevertheless have let on ftp.

But in home directory of a folder cgi-bin does not exist!
Even to change chmod for files it is impossible..

Sensation such, that idiots work!

Here we understand, that us have simply deceived and have sold the idle program, and we write to them that immediately return our money or we bring an action against you for fraud!

And here to us Arnoud writes, what yes it is real in the program which we to you distances are defects, that is they have admitted that they gave us the idle program.

But further it(he) writes, that according to the license (which we did not sign), we can not bring an action against them as they have 30 days on correction of all errors.

We have conferred and have decided to believe them, that in 30 days they will give us the program which will work completely!

At last there has occurred the thirtieth day and this letter is sent us:

The newest version we expected today is not yet ready, but will be on Monday. This 6.0 version should solve at least 90% of your problems.

Installing this new version of the program, and all same errors were detected.

We think, well we shall wait till Monday (there was a Friday).

There has occurred Monday (33 day from the moment of purchase of the program) and anything to us was sent.

BUT!

We came to them on a site and if three days back for them it was written, that mail lists will be ready in April of month now there it is written, that it(he) will be ready in May.

There will occur the end of May and they will write, that will be ready in July and so on.

Now, that their program does not work, we carry heavy losses.
For those thirty days, we have lost already about 47 large corporate clients.

And they are silent and plainly nothing do(make).

We simply do not have other choice, except for how to bring an action against them if they voluntary do not want to return our money.

And in court, we shall demand compensation and a moral harm and the indemnification because of them.

Though in our country it is accepted to solve all physical violence, it we such kind with them are still nursed.


It would be desirable to apologize for set of errors in the text.

The translator of our corporation already as the second month lays in hospital, after an autocrash, therefore we now communicate by means of the program of a translator.

I think they are trying to say that they bought the software and were unable to get it to work right. And it didn't do the things it was suppose to do.

He claims he has tried all panels already, and wasn't able to work with any one them. Isn't that a bit suspicious?

We tried to get it working, and still trying, but God knows what they have done with their servers, we haven't found it out yet...

Why not getting ROOT access and install it remote or are you allready doing that?

Already doing, but it seems his server parts and settings are absolutely not compatible, so that causes lots of problems, but that's not fault of SHC.

Hey Boksoft,

It sounds like the person said there were many errors in the program itself. And also that they got it working after many hours of working on the program. If the server was not compatible, how did they get it working after all?

Very hard to understand post.

Where does he say he got it working? I don't think he has yet.

And for anyone who doesn't believe that the bugs are on their side, feel free to contact me to request a trial version so you can see for yourself.

Well,
I have had the smarthostingtools control panel for a month (maybe a little longer).
Boksoft <note>although sometimes slow on replying to support emails</note> (maybe because he/she is working on the software) has done several upgrades since our original install. Some seemed based on feedback.

They did the install for us originally, since I could not get it to work.

The panel is installed, and besides the few problems I have had, which I wish to note that after our emails, were fixed with a few upgrades (took about a week each) that we ALMOST have a great product.

I am currently waiting for Boksoft to take care of a final update we requested:

CGI bin added when account is created, and access to a server wide cert directory for each account when added

These were supposed to be done today, but no email confirming this yet...
Once this is done, I feel that the control panel will work fine for us.

I will be happy to continue posting my experiences with this product as I use it.
I know my control panels, in my opinion.
I have a few RAQ's and 8 Alabanza machines and also had a machine with CPANEL before I decided the product is not ready for my clients. Also tested Sphera and ensim is almost good enough (needs billing and a few more features IMO) and I have Plesk on a machine here at the office.
I wanted a program with billing integrated, and to be honest, this software seems to have everything that my Alabanza servers have plus a few extras.

If Boksoft can improve support response time/efficiency a little (which I am sure will happen with time and growth) then the software is worth the $850 one time, and I can put the software on a server in the data center I like.

Ok, just a quick reply;

You too couldn't install wich makes me wonder why more people have that problem.

It's got an install script wich doesn't seems too work.
Can you tell me where it went wrong when installing?

The install went okay, I could not log in to the panel afterwards, so I emailed them, and they installed it for me.

It sounds like the first guy went to Yahoo or something and typed the message in his language, then hit convert and cut and pasted what it wrote.

So the guys english is rough. Big deal. Stop flamming him. He got ripped off. I had a close call with the same (Boksoft) crew myself. Installed the crap. Never worked. Got lip service. Demanded they not bill my
card and they didn't. I would really be interested in seeing it work. If ANYONE knows of a working version please point me to it. Otherwise I think THEY should get some get some much needed bad rap.
