How do you people handle the managment of the various accounts that you have. For example: Storing passwords, password recovery, tracking various stats on each account, billing records all that stuff. Do you use paper (God Forbid!) he he or do you have software that you might recomend?

You might wanna run a search for this question as I've only been on these forums for a month, and I've seen it asked over 30 times.

There is some good software out there for the web hosting industry like ModernBill and others. Or you could always just use excell :P

Personally, I really like "dadabik", it's a free database program, and it conforms to any mysql database. I prefer to run mine on a non-internet connected windows computer, with foxserv 3.0., which is also free. All free, and it only takes a total of 3 minutes to install it all and have your database program running.

I use mysql with relatively simple encryption - just make sure your mysql server is locked down (mine is on vlan)

I did run a search ... probably chose poor key words ... nothing really turned up. Any how, thanks for the advice. I'll evaluate them and until them ... I like the Excel idea - very practical. I don't know why I didn't think of it.
