Well I am involved in a little clash of the minds in a thread, and was just wondering what everyone else thought about it..

Do you think that it's wrong if somebody requests something, in this case a design, then someobody else suggests a website that sells templates, nice ones, but is not their site?

I personally think that it's not, I believe that people should suggest other site's for users to check out if they are requesting something.

The thread can be found here..

I don't think it's wrong. At least it's productive and helpful. :)

No, I don't think it's wrong.

Yes, the job forum may primarily be where people go to request that someone apply to do something, and that others post offers that may net them work. However, pointing people to a site that offers things for free or nearly free isn't bad business. It's being helpful.

Not to mention, "you get what you pay for". Whether because the service lacks features, or the design isn't sufficient, or support is very sparse, or what have you, most people outgrow the freebies kind of quickly.

I don't see anything wrong with it. The only things I see wrong it that the thread starter asked to be contacted via email. Mofo's posting a link isn't getting him contacted via email. Then for you and rcs to begin a discussion as to whether or not one should post a link that isn't theirs . . . . . . . well . . . . . . I suppose you thought better and started this thread.

But, I agree. If the post helps the thread starter, there's nothing wrong with it.

The only thing wrong was that there was off-topic discussion about nothign (which has now been removed).
