CWH 12-14-2002, 12:49 AM Never heard of them. Is that .com .net .org? domvera 12-14-2002, 12:59 AM hostworkz.com I had never heard of them myself until I saw their post in the ad forum. JSpired 12-14-2002, 03:08 AM I've never heard anything bad about hostworkz, but haven't used their services personally. You can try looking thru past posts about them here: http://www.webhostingtalk.com/search.php?s=&action=showresults&searchid=757435&sortby=lastpost&sortorder=descending stpwebhostin 12-14-2002, 03:23 AM Could you give us the url of them ?? We could get reviews of them from our HOST Records. Jim JSpired 12-14-2002, 03:24 AM The url is posted above: Hostworkz.com domvera 12-14-2002, 03:53 AM Ok. Anyone else have any comments on them? Especially those who have tried their services. chrisb 12-14-2002, 03:55 AM I emailed them once at 2 pm with a sales question. Since they didn't answer until after 8 pm, I figured it was a school kid running a one-man show. Note: I'm not complaining about the 6 hours to respond. That's not bad. It's just the time of day that made me think that. NexDog 12-14-2002, 05:14 AM I'm seeing 2 sites at http://hostworkz.com. Here's the first: NexDog 12-14-2002, 05:15 AM Here's the second: Servstra-Sales 12-14-2002, 07:23 AM chrisb - We are not a "school kid running a one-man show". I personally take offence to that remark and no doubt so would the other staff. You seem very quick to judge hosts before knowing the true facts. NexDog - What are you trying to imply? NexDog 12-14-2002, 07:35 AM Greg, Not trying to imply anything. I happened to open hostworkz in 2 windows (don't know why) and was looking through the "lesser" version (:D) but closed it after all the links didn't work. Then there was a new and improved Hostworkz there. Confused, I reloaded your site in another browser widow and the other version was there again. After a while it settled down and I kept getting the Flash version. Just weird, that's all. Maybe I was catching a cached page or something?? Servstra-Sales 12-14-2002, 08:13 AM I see. Don't you just hate it when browsers cache? ;) chrisb 12-14-2002, 05:57 PM Originally posted by Hostworkz.com chrisb - We are not a "school kid running a one-man show". So, what are the "true facts", as far as ages and number of staff go? NexDog 12-14-2002, 06:07 PM Nope, still getting the old Hostworkz site. That hideous green one is the old site right? Totally confused now... eweber 12-14-2002, 08:45 PM I have no clue what their staffing levels are, however since I have been with them I have dealt with Greg, Peter, Toby and Chris so far. Not sure if that helps. StarHawk 12-15-2002, 08:28 AM I just joined them a few days ago after seeing the Super Special deal. I had a few questions before joining and they responded within about an hour and were very helpful. I'm starting to get a little worried however and wondering if I made the right decision. I got up this morning and wanted to do a little work on my site and found it down. Then I discovered that hostworkz.com itself is down. I hope it is just a fluke and doesn't become a common occurence. mrk23 12-15-2002, 02:01 PM So far they are down 1 hour this morning. The same thing happened for a couple of hours a couple of weeks ago. This is really frustrating. domvera 12-19-2002, 03:41 AM Can those customers of Hostworkz please let me know how they dealt with their recent downtime? This will give me a good indication of their customer service skills. I don't what to go with a host that has bad customer service skills! |
