View Full Version : $8.40 Enom Reseller Accounts - Free (20)
DaFreak2002 12-13-2002, 10:31 PM We are allowing 20 accounts below our Enom account. PLUS, to match a competitors offer, we will provide you with a free account to host your site to promote your registration service! There will be a 1 new domain registration per month minimum if you take the free site hosting. The package would be either Cpanel or Win2k, your choice, and the equivilant to the XC-Slider or XT-Slider packages on our site at http://www.x9i.com
The costs for your account would be as follows:
TLD Register Price Renewal Price Transfer Price
.com $8.40 $8.40 $8.40
.net $8.40 $8.40 $8.40
.org $8.40 $8.40 $8.40
.us $8.40 $8.40 N/A
.info * $8.40 $8.40 N/A (2 year min.)
.biz $8.40 $8.40 $8.40
.tv $42.95 $42.95 N/A
.ws $15.95 $15.95 N/A
.nu * $26.95 $26.95 N/A
.bz $29.95 $29.95 N/A
.cc $29.95 $29.95 $29.95
.name $8.40 N/A N/A
The details are, as long as you have a Credit Card, you can register from the get go. There is not a deposit (so I am told from other resellers) on this account, just you pay as you go.
If you go with the $8.95/yr account you also get under this account:
The Free Website Builder
PDQ ($99 per year fee to Enom)
Registry Rocket (CC Acceptance - better to use your own though)
The Certificate Purchasing Option (no markup)
All the normal controls on the domains
API software for your site
NOTE: The $8.95 account requires a deposit. If you do not need the transactions on your site, and you can process manually, then you can use the $8.40/yr account.
We will take 20 under us at these prices. Email us at admin@x9i.com and we will send you a form with information that we will need for your processing.
Thanks!
Note: we did have that PDQ was included, we did not understand that resellers could not use it with our paid fee, without paying for it for each account. We are sorry about this. It is availabile for you to use at a $99 per year subscription rate.
Akash 12-13-2002, 11:29 PM I assume these are 20 precreated accounts? or did you find a loophole? because enom doesn't allow the creation of new accounts with pricing less than $8.95
petertdavis 12-13-2002, 11:42 PM Ha ha, didn't take long for the copy cats to strike.
http://www.webhostingtalk.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=96231
Will you answer Akash's question?
AH-Tina 12-14-2002, 12:29 AM PDQ costs $100 per year. Have you already paid the $100 setup?
DaFreak2002 12-14-2002, 12:32 AM I am not sure about a loophole, all I know is that this is the pricing that was put forth on our account. The cut and paste was directly from the Enom site from a reseller login.
Copycat, maybe - I was actually going to post this earlier this week but wanted to verify that it was going to work correctly. I also credited you in the post that " PLUS, to match a competitors offer..." showing that it was not our initial idea, but to match an offer and expand on it a little to try and get ones if you already filled up, or just get the resellers.... Either way, yes, you do get credit for that idea.
PDQ: Ok, we can use it, but the resellers have to pay their setup to use it - our bad, I am editing the post now to reflect that is not included. Sorry about any confusion this may have caused.
Akash 12-14-2002, 12:38 AM what about the pricing? can you create new accounts at $8.40/domain
DaFreak2002 12-14-2002, 12:41 AM That you can, yes. I just verified it.... It is only if you do not want the API, and the other stuff. If you want that, then you have to go with the $8.95/yr account.
Layerblue 12-14-2002, 02:00 AM Actually, you can't create sub-accounts.. I just tried it, and won't allow me..
DaFreak2002 12-14-2002, 02:17 AM Per what akash was saying, you can only have sub accounts on the $8.95
I apologize to everyone involved with this. This was something new with us, and we have not played with the reseller thing much. I know I have confused everyone to death now, but I am trying. I have edited the first post to reflect that what he was saying was true - to have a "true" reseller account, it is $8.95/yr, but if you do the manual entry each time, do not want sub accounts below you, etc, then it is only $8.40 per year per domain.
Zoomer 12-14-2002, 02:33 AM That's a retail account. 6+ days ago, I offered $8.65 retail accounts but the response was underwhelming. Guess people like to go for the $8.95s.
I assume the offer is now closed?
Layerblue 12-14-2002, 02:56 AM This is kind of wierd.. After DaFreak changed my account to a reseller account (or whatever.. I'm not all that familiar with this enom crap), I go to my settings, and it still shows my prices as follows:
com $8.40 $8.40 $8.40
.net $8.40 $8.40 $8.40
.org $8.40 $8.40 $8.40
.us $8.40 $8.40 N/A
.info $8.40 $8.40 $8.40
.biz $8.40 $8.40 $8.40
.tv $42.95 $42.95 N/A
.ws $15.95 $15.95 N/A
.nu $26.95 $26.95 N/A
.bz $29.95 $29.95 N/A
.cc $29.95 $29.95 $29.95
.name $8.40 N/A N/A
Shouldn't this have changed to the $8.95 price in theory, since I'm technically a reseller? Someone fill me in please.. Kinda confused here..
ryan21 12-14-2002, 04:37 AM are u sure it is a reselling and not a retail? try creating sub account and see if it can be created.
DaFreak2002 12-14-2002, 04:57 AM No the offer is not closed, I will still provide the $8.40 retail accounts if people want them - we still have about 7 left, I may provide more, just ask.
I will also provide the $8.95 reseller account, all you have to do is tell me which account you want and you will get it.
Once again, the email is admin@x9i.com - feel free to email and I will get you going.

Can you create subaccount? You are practically a retail account if you cannot subaccount.
Layerblue 12-14-2002, 05:09 AM I can create sub-accounts, yes.. This is wierd though..
ON Enom's site, when I goto Home->Pricing, it shows $8.95.. When I go to My Enom->Settings, it shows $8.40.. I can create retail accounts at $8.40, but cannot convert them to reseller accounts at that price..
I'm totally new to Enom, so I don't know how their setup really works just yet.. Maybe it's normal, maybe it's not.. I dunno.. Just wierd..
ryan21 12-14-2002, 05:55 AM won't u be making a loss for every account u set at 8.40 , since your reselling rate is 8.95? you will get negative commission.
Layerblue 12-14-2002, 06:01 AM I have no clue.. I just wanted the account for ease of use when registering a domain with a script..
