Excedrin will donate $1 to Toys for Tots for every person that clicks the Toys for Tots link on their website. This costs you nothing, and is a great way to help out! Tell your friends, family, and coworkers!

Cool. I clicked.
I dropped off a neighbor's kid at school this am, then before going to her school, me and my daughter swung by the mall where the local radio station was there collecting Toys for tots. KayBee toys was open, so we picked out some toys and donated them.
It has always been tradition with me since about twelve years ago, when I had a really rough year. Recently devorced and jobless, I was just glad I had a roof over my head. I was able to scrounge up about $50 and was able to buy some presents for my son, because it was getting close, and a lot of toys were marked down already. When I heard about some kids may not get anything for christmas, I felt rather lucky, so I donated one of them to the Lighthouse. I figured no matter how broke I am, there is always someone worse off than I me.
That christmas morning, my son was thrilled, and I felt I had succeded except for a split second when he said "Hey, Santa didn't leave you anything" I almost thought "ooops" but then I gave him a hug and said "Oh, yes he did"

Yeah Toys for Tots kicks ass.. Is it a nationwide thing? They have it every year at the malls out here in mass usually with a national guard guy standing there taking the donations. What did you guys give? We used to give little electronic games and stuff but I realized this year that they are gonna be SOL when the batteries die and they will prob not be able to afford any for a while, so this year we did board games - Simpsons Clue, Monopoly and Trouble..

You've got my click.
Amazing story ATST. :)
We have a Toys For Tots program in Arkansas, however nothing close to here.
Locally we have a "Angel Tree" where you can pick and name (boy/girl) and buy a gift for them. We also have a "Shop With A Cop" where they give kids money to buy presents for them and their brothers/sisters/family and send them to Wal-Mart with a police officer. I donated money to the "Shop With A Cop" program because my neighbor is a police officer and I think it helps the kids in more ways because they not only get something for christmas, learn the value of giving, but that police officers are normal and are there to help them.
