View Full Version : Best way to sell a domain?

CommonSense

Due to a restructuring of my company and purchase of another business I was partner in, I am entertaining the idea of selling CommonSense.com to raise some cash.

I know this name has good potential for the right buyer but I don't know how to approach or even find the right market to sell the name.

Does anyone know of any legal, political or financial groups that I could approach? How else does one get this highest price for thier name?

Thanks for any insight.

Ahhh!! Thats a good one :D
Im sure you will get some pointers here, but Ive heard that www.afternic.com is good for selling names.
Ive seen quite a few good ones on ebay too.
Most all hosting forums now have a "domains for sale" forum...so it wouldnt hurt to list them.

All of the domains I've sold were ones that I didn't have "for sale" per se, but someone wanted it and approched me about buying it. You may just want to put a "this domain is for sale" sign on your CommonSense.com home page. I think the way to get the best price for something is to sell it to someone who really wants it.
