Hi Guys - I wanted to ask a group of web developers about an idea I had and I thought this would be a good place to get in touch with some people involved in the market. I am in the planning stages of providing a managed project development service. The idea is that someone with an idea would register an account with us and receive (for free) SVN hosting. The cool part is for a list of commonly used technologies (Django, Tomcat, PHP), the user could then log in to a control panel and click 'Deploy'. The user would then have the code in the trunk of their SVN repository immediately deployed to a server we host, ready to be beta-tested or used in production. Everything but the application and the database would be completely managed by us. What I am asking is, if something like this existed, could anyone forsee using such a service? All I am trying to do right now is gauge interest.

Thanks!

Are you talking about something like Heroku (http://heroku.com) or EngineYard (http://www.engineyard.com/)?
