Anyone have any experiences with version 12?
They look interesting , and im looking for a dedicated server. :)
The thing is , it doesnt seem to come with any admin software , so how hard will it be for a new admin to take care of one of their servers?
The owner is a regular to the forum, and he seems like a very smart guy. I don't think you should have any trouble with them.

Allright, thats great.
It says on the version 12 site that it costs $50 per hour to install patches. I seriously wouldnt want to pay that , so id do it myself.
But how am i going to know what security patches i have to install? Is there any site that gives some constant information or tutorials on keeping a server up to date?
Also, im on a 56k - does this mean that ill have to download updates and then upload them tomy server? that wouldnt be nice :(
Lastly , anyone have any experience with version 12 that can tell me how much they charge to restore a server if it gets hacked or virus attacked???
Sorry for all the questions - it says newbie below my name :D

I'd have to agree with the rest, UUallan is a smart guy. He also answered the questions i was asking about routing and stuff :)
What server are you planning on getting ?
updating the server software is basic, you should be able to do it by yourself OR you can buy UUallan some beer and he'll do it for free ;)

Allan is great, *but* if you don't have any experience running a dedicated server, it might not be the best option for you at this time. I know, how can you get experience? Well, you could set up a test box at home, read some of the tutuorials/books out there, at least get a general understanding of things. I'm not sure how much you know, or what areas you might be lacking in, but I get the feeling you aren't entirely comfortable with this.
