hfallen 12-12-2002, 02:40 PM AllAmericanHost.com DOMAIN FOR SALE!!
I'm NOT going to post a set amount I am looking for. IF you are genuinely interested in the domain, I am asking that you either reply to this thread with an open offer or send me an email at:
info@allamericanhost.com
Good luck!
seiya 12-12-2002, 03:34 PM $7.99
hfallen 12-12-2002, 04:47 PM It could actually be a good hosting name for athletes' websites - All American.
SSSS - Thanks for the reply.
In my opinion, it is a 'top-shelf' domain. At least it doesn't have dashes or mispelled words or anything like that.
Also, selling:
syberco.com
worldwidepro.com
idibidi.com
mrcleancredit.com
ebayhosting.com
alternativehost.com
eatstreet.com
eradio.fm
e-maildesigns.com
webdesignguild.com
proofingcenter.com
fxinternet.com
UH-Matt 12-12-2002, 04:49 PM in my opinion that every domain on that list is better than the one you originally wanted to sell.
i especially like ebayhosting, i reckon thats a good domain!
Bannaz 12-12-2002, 04:56 PM ebayhosting would most likely spark off some ramblings at Ebay.com though.
essene 12-12-2002, 09:27 PM yeah..we could hold hosting auctions:pimp:
Then we could take over paypal and then and then...
ok wait, that's been done hasnt it...
anyway, with that said, may we bid on the other domains youve posted or should we just offer you a price?
I was thinking alternativehosting.com..we could raise Kurt Kobain from the dead and make him our spokesperson!
essene 12-12-2002, 09:29 PM Im serious about the other domains though..please let me know :)

Somebody got the domain "ebayupdates.com" and email many EBay users to reenter their credit card info into their site. Many did. The article was on MSN.
allprohost 12-13-2002, 05:39 AM 13.00 dollars and "2 slaps accross your fricken mouth because i like ya"
UH-Matt 12-13-2002, 05:42 AM $20 on eradio.fm
(how much are .fm domains - is this bid ok?)
hfallen 12-13-2002, 07:26 AM I wake up to all of this. WOW! All of this banter on just a domain name?
sss - I know you are trying to defend the thread, but don't get your feathers too ruffed up. It's just a domain, man. But, thanks anyways.
essene - alternativehost.com - $100 and up. I might use that name for an adult hosting service, so it's value is fairly high to me.
UH-Matt - eRadio.fm - I always wanted to market that name to the broadcast industry for hosting their station letters dot fm, and to others who want to start their own radio station. I just haven't had time to pursue it. I have a logo as well. I happen to love the name, so it has value to me as well.
allprohost - Thanks for bidding!
I guess this isn't really the place to expect competitive offers on domains. We all know this business and know what quality names can fetch on sites like GreatDomains.com. I'm not saying my names will make me millions, but I have sold worse names for much, much more money. Obviously, I don't have to sell them, but you never know who might want them on this forum, especially when some are related to the domain, hosting or web industry.
hfallen 12-13-2002, 07:31 AM UH-Matt - Sorry, I missed the last part of your question. I paid $200 for eRadio.fm for 2 years. I think they are a little less now, but that's what the name cost to register over a year ago.
mccuem 12-13-2002, 09:50 AM hfallen,
You put up the first domain for auction without any type of reserve, you are therefore offering at the value that the other members perceive it to be worth, not what you perceive it to be worth. If you had wanted a certain amount for it, you should have offered it for sale.
Same with your other domains.
Don't be suprised when you get offers less than what you wanted, people are not here to give you everything, inherently they want the best deal.
Did you sell the domain to the highest bidder? If not, I would think you got the best deal out of this place by not having to sell the domain that you auctioned.
Mike
hfallen 12-13-2002, 10:37 AM Thanks for the comments. You're absolutely right. I name is only worth what someone will be willing to pay for it. I understand that.
I didn't put a reserve because I really don't know what the perceived value is yet. I'm not looking to get rich off the sale nor am I willing to sell it for scrap. Most of my names were registered with an intent to use them. However, I only have so much time for so many projects.
When I try to sell these domains, I'm really looking for a number that will spark my interest and make it worthwhile to let the name go. Otherwise, I keep thinking that someday I'll do something with the name.
For example, one of my favorites - syberco.com - is, in my opinion, a decent, very marketable name in various industies. I would love to do something with that name. If I put that name up on GreatDomains.com and spent the money, who knows, it could be worth a lot. But over here at WHT, I now know you won't fetch big bucks for domains. I'm even wondering if I had the domain - business.com - would I still receive $3 bids. So, if I received an offer of let's say $500 for syberco.com, I would consider it. Maybe less, who knows. If someone was actually serious and wanted it, then I'd think about it.
And, this forum is not an auction site. There really is no reserve or bidding. I'm simply placing an ad for domains for sale and seeing what response I get. If a buyer is serious, then I am serious.
