I need a new server for a my new cs server
I am looking for Duron 1.2 or Celeron 1.7
of course the duron 1.2 server I am looking for is much cheaper but I want to know how do u campare them in term of performance....

could someone give me some suggestions plz?

Well of course, Duron. :) Wouldn't want a Intel Celeron doing the work. :P

Doesn't the Duron have more/fullspeed internal cache? Can someone enlighten me as for the cache on Celeron vs Duron?

For a decent size server (over 20ppl), neither is going to cut it unfortunately.. when you factor in HLguard, admin plugins, etc.. its crazy how much CPU these can burn through.

I would pick the 1.7 celly over the 1.2 duron, personally.

The 1.7 Celeron should be fine.. again it really depends on the usage of the server by your clients, a lot of static sites will help push those numbers up. I admin a few servers of those specs (celerons) and they quite happily serve 400-500 sites, mysql + cgi usage does push them a bit though :)

If you plan to host mainly static sites would be fine, mainly mysql + cgi intensive hosting and you might want to look at a Dual processor machine for stability. The options are endless :D
