Hi Guys,
Looking for a small .NET (preferably 4.0) hosting package to do some testing of my webpages on which I will possibly upgrade in the future. I already have my own domains, I will need a sql server database of 2005 or 2008 not bothered but would need to be able to connect to it using management studio on my PC.

I'm looking for paying very little as like I said it is only for playin around with to start with, however I would like someone with decent support that is a decent host as this may be something I will be looking to upgrade in the future so would save moving the things I have developed.

Looking for something I can pay monthly at less than $10 a month to begin with if possible ... As I said its not for an active site at the moment, purely for me playin.

Maybe would help if I explained what I am after it for. TO start with I am looking for something where I can build an ASP.NET page with SQL server back end for nothing more than to study as I am currently studying te .NET framework for my Microsoft Certs and would like to get a better understanding.

Check out Webhost.UK.NET (http://Webhost.UK.NET) they do offer Windows Hosting.

They look pretty good although only have yearly .. I know that sounds daft with the small one only being £25 however have just been made redundant so really need somethin I can pay a small amount monthly to.

Thankyou for your help though, appreciated

Soniceffect,

Welcome to WHT Forums. From what I read above your looking for Windows hosting with the new Microsoft asp.net 4.0 Framework.

To the best of my knowledge only WebsitePanel Control Panel is the only one on the market with asp.net 4 support as standard (WebsitePanel was previously known as DotNetPanel).

Soniceffect, can I ask what is your budget for your hosting project? Finally are you looking for any special requirements such as US/UK servers (for example).

I look forward to your reply.

Try to check databasemart.com - Maybe they can provide you the service you need.

I would have to disagree with this statement. There are many hosts, like us, that have built their own control panel that support ASP.NET 4.
