As you all know by now, im in the UK, im looking to get 3 leased lines to the internet for my organisation, now its going to cost about £20,000 per year and I want to make sure i go with the right company.

I have decided pretty much on worldcom/uunet to provide the service due to their 100% Service level agreement, sounds impossible but im ok with it because its in their contract and they give plenty of cash back if its not met.

So, has anyone experienced them, anyone got any lines or equipment with them and most of all how do you feel their Chapter 11 bankrupcy will affect their ability to offer a 100% SLA?

Thanks In Advance.

Hello,

I think he is based in Liverpool. Which means bandwidth may be a "little" more expensive than in London right now.

You might want to check out NTL and Level3 and UUNET. Those 3 would be good.

We have lines from WorldCom/UUNet and the reliability, speed, etc is excellent.

I don't see the Chapter 11 of WorldCom affecting their product. We may see UUNet spun off or sold down the road but due to their size and the the contracts they have with the US government, major corporations and major ISPs, they will not go away.

I think the biggest challeng you will see in the short term is customer service. You may have challenges reaching them to work on billing or other issues. I feel their network will remain one of the best.
