Have a friend who is looking to get out of the business. Their monthly revenue is about $10,000 per month. About 250 web hosting accounts, and about 25 dedicated server/colocation customers. Equipment easily relocated to any location, although east coast would make for the least amount of down time. They are looking at offers of at least one-times annual revenue. Only one-time cash deals, no monthly payments or revenue sharing.

If you are interested, e-mail host4sale@techie.com. Please do not make postings here. Thanks!

:D

So how did this conversation go?

"Hey dude! Can you sell my hosting company for me?"

"Sure dude! Like how much you want for it?"

"Like at least $120,000. Tell them I make $10,000 a month. Yeah. And if you sell it for me, I'll take you out to McDonalds, on me."

There is just no way that I believe this is a serious offer. No one looking to sell a business of that size would have a friend post a note in a forum.

Why do 85% of the business for sale offers posted here start out like "I have a friend selling his company"? Why dont the owners come here and post??
