I have a private members forum with about 2000 members. a lot of them build several wordpress blogs each week and often run out space on reseller accounts and vps's.


I've been contemplating providing them with hosting for a while but never got around to it.

However Now that I've discovered the world of Cloud servers I am investigating this again.

I can really see the benefit of allowing the members to sign up for a service that can grow with them.

The question is how much would this cost to set up?
And what would I be looking at as a monthly cost.

If i do this I would like to offer a service a bit like VPS.net with cpanel/whm/fantastico, flexible billing and 24/7 support.

Is it easily doable or should i just get an affiliate link and send them to vps.net? :)

If you can justify the cost, you may benefit from a service commonly known as Virtual Private Data Center (VPDC). Basically, this allows you to have your own custom private cloud that can be built to your needs, and you can install cpanel/whm/fantastico, etc on it and make any customizations you want. It would be your environment, entirely customizable to your likings. The scalability would depend on the hardware that is chosen for the infrastructure.. but then you could always add more as you go.
