Hello,
I'm looking for a kind of a "game client", which offers the possibility to klick on a list of servers, which then launches the game and connects it to a gameserver.
Well, that does exist and is nothing new. But the issue here is, is that only users having the game client, should be able to connect to the gameservers. Means, the gameservers shouldn't be able to be connectable withouth the game client, nor beeing seen through serverlists (GM, Battletracker etc.).
Question is, does such a tool or solution already exist? Even commercially?
Thanks.
Cheers,
Michael

as much as I know, HLSW doesn't fullfill following requirement which I listed in my first post, right? Or is there a commercial version of HLSW which does it?

Your opening post really doesn't make any sense.

ok, so just tell me which part you don't understand and I will try rewrite it in a better way. Side not: with "game client" I do not mean the game itself, but a client software which lists gameservers, like hlsw does.

Sounds like your looking for something that behaves like ESEA client? So a program you can keep a list of servers in, and join the server from the client, but you can ONLY connect to the game server if you are running the client/program? I don't think there are any publicly available programs that do this. I'm not sure why you'd need one, but you'd probably need to have one made for you.

What type of games are you trying to have listed? Like only source games? or any kind of game? If you are talking about source games then the servers that are being listed would need to be running a plugin to stop people who are not using the client from connecting or seeing the server. So it would really be two pieces of software you would need.
