Greetings -

I found very useful information re: merchant accounts in the UAE >> 752792

Unfortunately, the thread is really old and contact details - graciously posted by AskAR - seem changed (I wrote to the email ID provided. And I'm assuming that a no response means the person may have changed. Oh! yes, the parent company is based in Dubai)

May I request ya all to kindly help me get current contact details of the person at MashreqBank I should be talking to (the website does not provide any info)

Thank you.

Yeah! I find that our savior AskAR has not been around for quite a while. :(

(Do hope he logs in sometime soon)

In an older thread here, AskAR suggests a solution - National Bank of Dubai/National Bank of Abu Dhabi + Etisalat. And adds this will being up the costs + added ache of dealing with multiple organizations.

Would anyone know if there are any more/new merchant account providers in the UAE/Middle east. Contact details would be awesome.

Example: in Egypt
National Bank of Egypt
$700 Set-up fee
$600 Annual fee
4% per transaction

Arab African International Bank
$1,000 Annual fee
$360 @ $30 x 12 months per currency
4% per transaction

Would be really keen to know if providers in Dubai allow accounts in Egyptian Pounds? That would be heaven for Egypt based merchants.

Cheers!

Rxsolutions,

[hummm .. can't see where PMs are stored (duh!). Will look around some more for settings.]

(I am assuming your query from your other posts on WHT) - The merchant account providers I listed offer service exclusively for local (Egypt) registered merchants. Not sure about UAE (MashreqBank)?

it will cost you more so it is suggested to go with authorize or linkpoint or 3rd party payment processor paypal.

paypal is the best 3rd party payment processor.

Thanks to detailed & freely shared advice on WHT (and painfully studious browsing) - I learn that payment options for merchants in middle-east countries are limited - as are consumers with Paypal accounts.

My target market is Egypt (& local currency). And Paypal services are not available here - for merchants and consumers.

Besides, Paypal requires a US bank Account. As does Authorize.net (I wrote and received a canned reply from them :X )

MashreqBank seems to be the best option.

Or am I missing something?

no matter if you are in egypt, you can get bank account in United States very easily all you need is some money visit www.valisinternational.com for obtaining bank account or formation of business.

You can also get EIN for small fee.

Heya,

Yes there are, my friend Charles is a merchant underwriter and would know where the best ones are for middle east companies. MST is at 800-715-8053 and he speaks Arabic as well. He's been to Dubai several times and has clients there, so I'm sure he'll know the best banks for the region.
