Does anyone know any webhosting provider out there that can allow me to host 2 domains on 1 account? I am thinking of NOT getting a reseller account to host multiple domain after being frustrated with my current provider.

Most CPanel-based hosts can accomodate you in this regard (for little or no extra cash) with the recent addition of the "add-on domain" feature.

yep .. most hosts will allow a couple of domains on one account.
