Hello All..I'm just starting up my hosting biz, my target customer is, in the interim, is a niche group of folks in our local and surrounding community. Since I'm just starting up I'm wanting to keep my cost as low as possible so I figured I'd go with the PayPal Standard option to receive credit card payments, however my concerns is that PayPal Standard does little, (at least that’s the way I'm reading it), to protect me from any fraud. Even though we plan on starting out in our local community we'll still accepting customers from the outside.

Is there addition steps that I can take to protect us from fraud if we use the PayPal standard option, any suggestions, ideas, or feedback would be great.

Thanks,
Bob

Hi, Bob

In my own experiences, PayPal offers protections for both buyers and sellers, no matter on personal or premier account. Of course, if you have a business account with PayPal, you would receive more protections.

Have a nice day,
