Greetings,
My tech manager advised me to upgrade from 8 IPs to 128. What is the average turnaround time one should expect for this upgrade to be fulfilled?
TIA!

it depends on the company your going through
dialtone has an automatic script that hands them out in a few seconds
Hi Nick,
Thaks for replying. Pardon my naivete. Does dialtone have anything to do with dial-up, or (more likely) is it the name of an entity? I've been waiting 7 days for these IPs to come through, and it's very frustrating.
Best,
Mel

7 days is a long time. I usually request IPs from our upstream provider late at night so the IP department has them first thing in the morning. Then they are processed and ready when I wake up. :)
Yea and dialtone is just the name of another webhost :)
Thanks for confirming my suspicions, guys. I still welcome feedback, so that I can build my case, or be convinced that this delay is within the normal range for these matters.
Best,
Mel

An IP allocation request should be fulfilled around 1-2 working days - a week is too long
