I am looking into getting two domain names for a client. Should I go wih 123-reg.co.uk or csn-uk.net?

123-reg has been around longer but its looking like csn-uk will be providing the hosting.

What are other users thought on the matter?

What are your requirements for hosting? Disk space, bandwidth etc.? 123 looks to have better value, for shared hosting anyway.

I was mainly looking at just a domain names sale but having checked out the packages then it does seems to be better value. Though I have heard some bad things about their customer support.

Just check here on the forums if you can find experience reports with that company.

Personally I'd separate my domain registration and hosting.

i agree, i dont like to keep my eggs in one basket. its bad when a hosting company goes out of business and takes your domains down with it.

Hi everyone thank you so much for all the great advice you have given me. I have decided on a domain provider, but as of yet have not finalised a hosting provider due to client not wanting to discuss hosting budget till closer to website launch.
