View Full Version : Enom Registrar
asimzeeshan 05-31-2010, 02:45 PM I want to get Enom registrar directly. How to do that?
I do not want to do $100 or $250 prepayments.
At the same time I do not want to be under someone's reseller account because he/she may lock/move my domain names to his/her account
ahdon 05-31-2010, 11:12 PM FYI - In order to setup a enom reseller account with enom you need to make a prepayment.
asimzeeshan 06-01-2010, 12:25 AM How much is the prepayment?
BlaZeX 06-01-2010, 01:16 AM ^ There is no way that you can buy directly from ENOM without PrePayment/Deposit :(
Its like renting a house without paying the deposit.
314Hosting 06-01-2010, 01:41 AM I believe, you'll have to do pre-payments to get your account working.

If you are not willing to invest now - you'd better sign up for affiliate program.
Host3000 06-01-2010, 03:46 AM As I recall, retail accounts don't require prepayments?
For reseller, I believe the minimum deposit is US$ 100.00 .

That's true ... And your domain booking price will reduce in steps. Initially, your domain registration price will be higher. After spending x amount on ENOM, they will offer you lowest price registration.
klikli 06-01-2010, 06:03 AM You can purchase from ENom directly @ enomcentral. However the price is very high.
energizedit 06-01-2010, 07:52 AM You need to do the prepayment. That is the only way to get an account going with them that I know.
clickster 06-01-2010, 08:36 AM use GD, they are offering steep discount codes.
Okoji 06-04-2010, 07:26 AM What you do is to setup an account with enom.com and get another from a reseller, register from the reseller account and push into your main account.
Crashus 06-04-2010, 05:23 PM Just spend $100, its not a big sum
enomcentral.com, but you won't like the prices. Much better you go with a decent reseller like http://www.domainsmarty.com/resellers.php
falencio 06-04-2010, 08:31 PM No pre payments required at hexonet.net (http://www.hexonet.net)

Shoel 06-05-2010, 04:11 AM To become a direct eNom Technology Provider (ETP), you will need to pay a setup fee ranging from $195 to $1595 depending on the pricing tier you would like to have. Alternatively you can pre-pay from $1495 to $6995 and receive it all in credit that can be used towards domains and other services (with no setup fee).
(In addition there's also the minimum deposit of $100 to refill your account.)
More info here: http://www.enom.com/pricing.asp
Unfortunately there's no way around it if you do not wish to have a sub-account under another ETP (meaning you can never receive direct support from eNom). Not even if you already have a sub-account and would like to move a large number of domains over. They have a strict policy on not competing with their own resellers, thus they will not budge on the setup costs. Trust me, I know.. I recently bought their Premier account, and I tried my best to avoid the $1595 fee. :P
mrzippy 06-11-2010, 02:36 PM Couple of points:
1. Not all eNom resellers who create an account for you are evil and will steal your domains. :) You should search the forums for a good recommendation, and then ask for referrals, etc.
2. If you absolutely can not find a reseller whoom you trust to create an account for you (sub-account), then you can do the following technique:
- Get an "ETP" account directly from eNom. You can get one for as little as $100. Your pricing will be very high. We will call this "ETP Account".
- Get a "sub-account" created by a good enom reseller. You can get one with pricing at the lowest possible for free. We will call this "Sub-Account".
- Now register your domains using your low-price "Sub-Account". Then immediately "push" the domain(s) to your "ETP Account".
So the idea here is that you do not "store" your domains in your Sub-Account. You simply use it when you need to register or renew a domain. So your domain is only in the Sub-Account for as long as it takes to register or renew it. Otherwise, it is "stored" in your direct ETP Account with eNom.
Cheers!
asimzeeshan 06-11-2010, 02:44 PM Ok, what to do when you have to renew it a year later?

Push it from your "ETP Account" into the "Sub-Account" and then renew it at the lower cost.
Then push it back to your "ETP Account" after the renewal is completed.

This is very very right. I have a main reseller account directly from enom. And I have a sub account I normally use for registration and renewal.
mrzippy is very right!
