I suggest you do a search for VenturesOnline. I will share my personal experience with you, and I think you will find it like many others. I also suggest checking out VBulletin.com's community, and look under Web Hosting Options, you would be amazed at how many people use VenturesOnline (VBulletin.com does too). Epinions.com also has a few reviews of VenturesOnline, and they are much better written than mine.

VenturesOnline is overall a great value. They put you on high quality machines, in their privately owned datacenter, and use top quality bandwidth. The pricing is fair, some consider it a bit high, but thats what you get when you want the best. VenturesOnline has its share of problems, limited downtimes, and that good stuff, but that can be expected with any host. ALL of the 10 or so hosts Ive been with have experienced downtime, but what sets VenturesOnline apart from the rest is their support, and their reaction to problems.

VenturesOnline actually has staff on-site. If your server goes down, you dont need to contact the server reseller, who has to contact the original seller, who has to contact the datacenter. You cut out EVERYONE and go right to the source with VenturesOnline support. There is no waiting back for support to be more specific, support has the answers. I have found that support tickets get answered in less than an hour 24/7, and they actually have trained support techs working 24/7, they do not outsource it.

VenturesOnline is also pretty unique in its forum community. There are so many "experts" hanging around on the VenturesOnline forums that you know you are in good hands. They also have a staff member directly responsible for the forums, who can act as the middle person between you and support if you have a problem.

VenturesOnline is an all around great value. You will find that many people who require "The Best" all around value go with "VO".

Hopefully Ive been of some help. Good luck with your decision, and let us know who you end up going with.

I have used Ventures Online for the past year and a half. I have had NO PROBLEMS with them whatsoever.

I highly recommend them!

I really enjoy using Ventures Online, they have a great network and support is always blazingly fast. However, there's two issues that I have with them. One is the (seemingly constant) high load averages. I've seen others complain recently about the issue too. The other is the fact that there's a website assigned to my second DNS IP. Example: ns2.domain.com points to some other site. It bothers me that they do that.

But be warned that Venturesonline oversell space, because they measure disk space quotas, not acutal ussage. So you'll be able to host less packages on VO space compared to others in same price category.

Very good experience with VO. Been with them for a year and half and am completely satisfied. If you are in this business for the long run than you could trust your business to VO.

2 years and going - I do have my own servers and reseller accounts now, but my old customers do like VO a lot to :)

We have several servers with VO and I can only say great things about them. Rarely do we have an issue that requires their attention, but when we do they are fast and helpful. The only negative I can say about them is the bandwidth costs....that kills me every month. I still love them and will continue to get our servers there.

Well...., I have to be VO reseller, but I just know this now !. Is that true if we have just received for what package (with space and bandwidth) that we create ?
Not actually what we use ?

I tried a few host and Ventures has been the best so far. Even though they have some problems with their Mysql database, which has some "mini-downtimes" of a few seconds quite frequently. Also I asked them to removed a customers IP from Spews (2 or 3 months back) which hasn't been done so far.

But otherwise recommended.. the support is very quick.

According to the referenced SPEWS file, the listing is at Level 2, which means that the issue was resolved and is simply on a "watch list". If the spammer doesn't return, the listing will be dropped completely. Very few providers block on Level 2 listings.

Only Level 1 listing are active listings. From the SPEWS evidence file, you'll see that none of the VO IP's are at a Level 1 status (the 209.151. IP range).

We started out with a dedicated server from Ventures Online some time ago. Now we lease rack space and bandwidth from them and co-locate our own servers.

Few bumps in the road here and there, much less then most hosts, and everyone on the support staff is easy to work with.

If anyone has any direct questions feel free to drop me a line.

I have a server thru Handynetworks..they are doing colo over VO DC. I'm more than pleased with the over all performence of the DC & my server providers...Never seen any Major Network Problems or downtimes since last 10 Months...I can have a peaceful sleep knowing I have my server over there ;)
