View Full Version : PaySystems Merchant contract - where is it?!?

Does anyone have a URL for PaySystem's Merchant contract (the IBA version)? I'm trying to sign up with them and got mail from underwriting saying that I need to send them the signed contract. Sure but... where is it?!? I can't find the darn thing anywhere on their site!

When I signed up, they sent me a PDF document that was the signed contract. I don't know if they have it available anywhere on their site. (I could be wrong about that, though.)

Weirder and weirder. Now they say that they've e-mailed me the contract PDF - twice. I still haven't received anything. Support tickets and mail from halfway the world is coming in just fine (I even tested mailing myself a PDF attachment, just to see if there was some spam filter weirdness going on) but the PaySystems contract is disappearing?!?

Now I'm beginning to feel a bit paranoid. Do you suppose they might lie about mailing the contract instead of just saying "sorry dude, we just don't want your business"?

No. I don't think they would jerk ya around.
Sure you don't have some type of filtering going on?

I tried sending myself mail with a PDF attachment from a whole different server, works fine. And I'm getting all other expected mail from PaySystems, just not the crucial contract. So I find it hard to believe that it could be a filter problem. I've now given them an alternate address, if nothing shows up there either the cause has got to be at their end.

For me, they just sent me a word file with the application init, so I just had to fill in the blanks.

they emailed me this contract too, almost immediately after I signed up I don't think they lie.

Maybe ask them to send you this contract to different email address.

No you are not going crazy...

They did the same thing to me in yesterday morning's email.

Asking me for things sequentially, instead of all at once. This last request was for a signed Merchant Contract that I never received. I called them to find out where to get it, but they were already closed.

I know you guys think PaySystems is great and all, but so far this has been annoying. Hopefully once we get out of underwriting things will go smoother.

Call them and tell them what the problem is. Provide them with a FAX number and tell them to FAX the document to you, since email doesn't seem to be working.

They really should make something like that available through the merchant control panel, IMHO.

They are pretty good. I think that wires get crossed everywhere once in a while. We have been with them for about 6 weeks and have had all our questions answered in less than 3 hours. Sometimes in 30 minutes.

They emailed me a file and told me to print it, fax it and then I would be set up. So I did. :)

Latest update: chaos reigns!

At last I received the contract at the alternate address I gave them the other day. Actually three copies of it, all mailed within a few seconds of each other. The headers suggest the originator was a cron job. The number three indicates that these are all the copies they ever tried to send (original at signup, second one upon first request, third one when they got the alternate message). I logged into the MCC, and sure enough: they had changed the administrative contact e-mail to the alternate address (without asking or telling me).

So they had a cron job stuck for days.

I had just finished downloading the agreement(s) when I got a reply to a support ticket which I never submitted, answering a question which I never asked. I replied telling them that they had sent the answer to the wrong guy and started reading the contract.

Skipping a bit of legalese, I reached page 9, where the rates are declared to be (hold on to your hat) $1 + 5.5%! That's Type A fixed cost and Type B percentage rate. Better check your contracts, guys...

Page 10 (GUARANTEE) is funny too: the first date field has the year 2001 hardcoded in it. So I couldn't honestly sign this thing even if I wanted too.

Sigh... I'm beginning to feel very downbeat about this...

Let me tell you, after dealing with Host Charge for 3 months, I am willing to pay that rate, just because of the simple fact, I will get my money. It's totally automated and I haven't had the problems described here with the emails, etc.

Point is, there is no such plan. See

http://www.paysystems.com/psBilling_account1.htm

The IBA plans are:

Type A: 3.95% + $1.00
Type B: 5.5% + $0.45

The contract I finally got in the mail is for a plan that doesn't exist.
