Hello there fellow wht'ers, Today I have great review for Gigenet Cloud servers, my review will be based on there cloud servers (how they operate.) there pricing, and of course there support.

Frist off, Im not even a paying customer yet, I am a trial customer, They gave me some credits to try there cloud servers.

There cloud servers are one of the best, not only because they are cheapest in price or you could load your own custom kernel and also PAY BY THE HOUR, but they are the best because they are never down. These servers are AMAZING.

Now there pricing, i mean you would expect your server to be down alot since your only paying 1.3 cents per hour right? Well your wrong, These servers have the most uptime, and give you the best options for half the cost! There bandwith packages are pretty awsome as well, you could pay as you go and just pay a small amount per gig of bandwith, or you could get 250 gig's of bandwith for only $25, and theres more, the bandwith packages are the best since, ALL your cloud servers use the reserve, so if you get the 250 gig bandwith pack, and you have 5 cloud servers, you dont have to pay for bandwith for each one. What makes the pricing really unique is the fact that they use credits instead of money, for a mere 400 credits ($10) you could have a cloud server for a month! And they charge by the hour, which means you can ether test a application in linux or windows for only a hour, then delete it and you wont get charged after its deleted! One of the bests parts is that windows is free! so if you need for example a test server for windows, you pay just 1.3 cents a hour for it, i think thats amazing, no more having to pay $15-$50 a month for a windows license!

Now for there support, THEY ARE AMAZING! I get responses within 10-30 minutes, remember im only a trial customer, i already asked a bunched of questions and they answer them very professional, They dont mind i have not even paid, they answer my support questions even as if i was paying, There support has helped me with complex questions that maybe a regular host would of taken hours to figure out, but not gigenet - took them only a few minutes.

So all in all i would HIGHLY recommend them, and for you users wondering if i will become a paying customer, the answer is YES! (I just have to wait for my SSI check to come in, then i will be spending a bit of money on gigenet!!)

Well if you have any questions about them let me know, sorry if this sounds like a advertisement and sorry if its not complete its almost 12 here lol, getting late.

Thanks so much for reading, and hope you will choose them as they are one of the best!

Have you tested their support during after regular business hours?

Thanks for sharing your review, I think this would belong in the Cloud Hosting forums under "Specialty Hosting and Markets". What are you hosting or planning on hosting on their cloud hosting platform?

Thank You for your review and reply on my question on other thread.
But are you certain that the price for window OS fee will be $10???

I get reply from the technician they said it will cost $20 a month after the promotion ends.

Actually this is not decided yet. Unless our SPLA agreement is modified and the prices change drastically, current customers will retain free windows and only new installs will be paid. How much it will be has not been determined. As long as our SPLA agreement is not modified to the point where were losing money we have no plans on charging customers with VM's with windows already installed.

^ That is totally acceptable. Unless GIGENET decides a fixed price for their Windows license, I think people should go and try it now xD

I was thinking about trying them out but reading their ToS it appears that they require at least 30 days of notice before cancellation. I would of hoped that I could cancel at any point as long as my account is paid up and not risk any sort of repercussion. But otherwise their pricing appears very competitive.

Agree, defeats the purpose of cloud hosting to have such an agreement in place.

The 30 day cancellation is not relevant as your purchasing credits, and then building your cloud based off of them. If you purchase 20 dollars and credits and build a VM with it and then you do not want to use the VM anymore you can just delete it, and billing is stopped instantly.

But I can see how its confusing. I will make sure it gets clarified.

Ameen, first off i hope you liked my review, since you are the #1 cloud hosting provider (atleast in my book you are hehe)

second, just a little thing - you should tell your employees not to give prices about windows after the promotion, since as you said you dont have prices as of yet. It's a little confusing since a tech told me $10 and another user on here got a price of $20, im not saying what to tell your techs, just giving a heads up thats all because then we all get confused.

and just a little note to future customers, im still enjoying there service, i still think they are number one. to those who think there bandwith is outrages (pricing) (on a another thread on here people were complaining about it) well honestly look around, rackspace has higher charges on bandwith - not only do they charge for outbound they charge for inbound also there cloud servers are just a little more then gigenet, gigenet does not charge for inbound. and i think the current price for bandwith is a pretty good deal. and the pay as you go bandwith makes it even better, no more having to buy 500 gig block of bandwith, if you only need 10-20 gig, thats all you have to pay :-).
