Hey folks,

I've been doing some web design for a few years now and am interested in becoming more serious about it. I'd like to start reselling the sites that I design and manage, but I'm going to be starting small (right now 2 or 3 sites besides my own). I'm not looking to start a reselling biz (for now...) but would like to have a greater level of control over the sites that I work on.... I might even just want to start out with a multi-domain account and then move up to "real" reseller status.

Can anybody recommend a good host for such a purpose, especially given that I have a pretty limited start-up budget (currently I'm a full-time stay-at-home dad)? I'm also working in a small town in PA where needs are relatively simple (as are budgets...).

I'd like the following: FrontPage 2000, ASP, a user-friendly Control Panel, possibly Shopping Cart capabilities, and the rest of the standard stuff (POP3, forwarders, etc., etc.

Any advice from others in such an enterprise would be welcome as well.... Thanks folks.

Brad

Usually all the hosts here place some information in this thread.

That link is almost useless by now, I think :(
For sure, I don't bother to go through that many hosts anymore... It just such a pain. I wonder why a new host would bother add their company to the list

Anyway.. These are some bigger hosts (who are alo member here) that do Windows NT/2000 dedicated server or virtual account:

- weinbar ( http://www.weinbar.com )
- serverhost ( http://www.serverhost.com )
- pegasus ( http://www.pwebtech.com )
- dtwebworks ( http://www.dtwebworks.com )

Any other I have missed?

Contact them and decide for yourself which one will suite your needs.

If it's windows NT hosting you're looking for (and that's what it sounds like with ASP), then consider adaptive.net or hippyhosting.com.

Good luck!
