I have very bad experience with 1and1.com .

After 2 days of signup for domain my domain not register till date even i received invoice .. when i login to control panel there is show "Waiting for approval" with my domain name..

I think this is very show process of domain reg.

2 days? they might be screening you for fraud, although it's not the first of such complaints.

I signed up for a 1&1 domain about 2 weeks ago during their free .com domain offer...

Only just gone through now - which is a pain - but i can't compain if it was free...

It depends what TLD it is, some ccTLD's may take up to 2 days. Ask 1and1 why it takes so long.

They have been well known to be slow. You get what you pay for with them. Pay a couple of dollars more and use a better register.

1and1 was once good i had one account with them, they technical support was nice but there is no such unlimited hosting with unlimited bandwidth transfer which they offered me. After i got 1 million hits they told me to move my server to dedicated and suspended account by the way my account was on shared hosting.

however 1and1 is not small company they have toooooooo many clients worlwide.
