Can I have both paypal and credit card as payment option?

I will be using paypal payments pro for direct credit card transactions and I also want to have the option to allow the customer to select paypal as a method if they prefer to use that to checkout quickly.

Is this how it would work by default? Will either be using zencart or virtuemart.

Thanks

purelife,

I'm almost certain that both of them do. The Zen Cart checkout process operates similar to Magento Commerce in that it offers the customer a Paypal button and a standard checkout button as well, when the customer is viewing their cart contents.

I can't post links yet, but there's a site called "Stylized Watches" on the "Zen Cart Live Shop Showcase" page that will provide a good example.

As for Virtuemart, you can play with their live demos to make sure, but it looks like they offer multiple payment options as well.

Not to toot the Magento horn, but I've worked on many Magento Commerce integrations, and so far, I'm very impressed. You may want to look in that direction as well.

I have never configured any of those shopping carts myself, but I know from customers that they work fine either with PayPal or integrated with different merchant accounts. So the answer is "yes"... choose one and go ahead with it. What kind of CMs do you use, is it Joomla?

I do not have any experience with zencart but from a customer's point of view, more payment options are certainly a big plus.
Everyone do not have PayPal ..
