View Full Version : Reseller plans?

Just wondering if I should get cheap reseller plans. How flexible are they for expansion? For example, if I want to move on to a dedicated server later on, can I easily move them?

Also, what should I expect from a reseller provider? What control panel should they provide? I heard of Ensim, Plesk and CPanel, but I'm not really sure which is the best option.

I've checked out reseller packages from BURST/Nocster - any comments on their reseller packages?

Thanks.

Generally speaking, if you are running CPanel and you switch to a dedicated machine running CPanel, the transition can be near seamless if done properly.

If you purchase your server from the same place that you have your reseller account then you can get them to move the sites for you, then all you need to do is change the ip numbers used by your name servers. So ask any potential reseller companies if they provide that as an upgrade option.

I would recommend either Ensim or CPanel. Those are the two most popular in my opinion. You won't find much support in Plesk from many people if you've encountered a problem.

You may start off with a low affordable plan if you are new to it.

Upgrade to a higher plan offered by your provider should you expand. If your expansion is big enough to your justification, upgrade to a dedicated server thereafter.

To get a reseller account and planning on to a dedicated server,
look out for a host that able to provider you the access to SSH.
Willingness to guide you through from reselling to dedicated server management. Provide you with good knowledge in technical support.

I would recommend you as well to get CPANEL which is easy to use and you could provide support to your clients easily. With proper guidance, you could master them in no time.

Besides, the market deman for CPANEL is much higher in the contrast to the others. This will facilitate you in marketing and provide an added advantage to your marketing strength.

You don't need much. :)

(I get your point though)
