I have tried monetising by parking domains at Godaddy as well as placing google adsense on some unused domains. To date, there is very little revenue, if any. :(
I am really curious to know how one go about getting traffic for parked/unused domains?

I have similar experience. For the most part the domain itself with a site where you land on nothing but ads is easy to identify and a user will immediately leave.
If you start to develop some actual content on those sites you'll get much better results.

TO get traffic to parked domains you need to build links as you do for promoting a website.
Also try to submit them in forums and directories and choose the domain which is really in demand these days...
You will start generating revenues from them..
Try using some other parking program like Namedrive , Sedo

Get a good domain name that sounds like a popular website.
Or get a domain name thats a noun, that someone might want to look up.
eg. email.com (though its taken), would / could show links to email providers.
That will do the trick. Otherwise forget about it.
Its like earning blind.
It's really difficult to make serious money parking domains. And if you are parking them at GoDaddy, you are waisting your time. As others have stated you need to have backlinks and a good "type-in" domain. You also need to find a decent parking company, like Parked.com

I already stop doing this because I can only earn around 0.01 cents a day :) just like Ramprage said its better if you create a site for your domain like creating micro site and putting ads on it.

Please do stop, nothing pisses me off more than trying to find a new domain name and finding that most of the ones I want are not only taken but fricken parked domains.

I get very little pageviews, like 1-2 per day and definitely no clicks.
I know developing content will help but I am more interested in those claims where you can make lots of money from parked domains.
Anybody has such experience or are these claims scam/over-exaggeration?

The problem is nobody wants to link to a parked domain...
And I don't think forums and directories will accept my submission either due to no content.
