2. Recommended to have domain name with COM domain name extension
3. If not available chose NET
3. Your domain name should be easy to remember

choose the fan site domain close to the celebrity name

Well, its depends upon what purpose of business is your site design for. If its business site then .com and .net are mostly preferred. If you want to market your business within specific country then having a country level TLD domain is a right choice.
